Times Are A-Changin’!

We should be very comfortable with our fractions now.  We have found common ground and converted them, we have added and subtracted them, we have multiplied and simplified them, including going from improper fractions to mixed numbers.  Tomorrow we’ll spend a little more time dividing them (some of us have already begun to do that!) and then we’ll see what fractions really represent in life – Ratios and Proportions!  Yeah!!  Check out Lessons 6-2 and 6-3.

(Want some practice?  Check out the Examples on pages 254-255 and the Guided Practice questions #4-9 on page 256.  Then go to the Ex’s on pages 264-265 and the Guided Prac ques #3-6 on page 266.)
