No Rest for the Weary…

G’Day, Colleagues!  If you’re reading this then Congratulations!  You are looking at the first entry for the New School Year on the coolest Math Blog in Walker G!  You should feel proud!

And prouder e-ven of all the info we have covered in such a short space of time.  Measures of Central Tendency should now really MEAN something (get it?) and you should be able to see how different ideas are conveyed by different measures.  The bottom line is that you want to be able to see the essence of your data.  You want to know what your data is telling you.  In order to do that you have to look at your measures of central tendency – mean, median and mode – and you have to look at your range in order to have a clear picture of what’s going on – even if it’s not in Room 133!

Now git to crackin’ on those examples on the Worksheet 2-4 Mean Median and Mode.  The sooner you finish them, the sooner we can put that puppy to bed!
