H1N1 VACCINES – NOVEMBER 11, 2009
H1N1 vaccines MAY be available on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at LUES at 5:30 P.M. This is tentative and dependant on vaccine availablility from the Health Department. Please keep checking this website for updates or for notices your child may bring home. Updates will be posted on the school e-Alerts.
Some Reminders:
- The clinic will begin at 5:30 P.M. Families should not arrive at the school before 4:30 P.M.
- There is no cost for the H1Ni vaccine.
- The vaccine is being offered to all students enrolled in FCPS, Head Start, and their siblings. We will not vaccinate parents.
- The vaccines are first come, first serve, until the supply is exhausted.
- Students with fevers will not be vaccinated.
- There will be nurses available to answer your questions about this vaccine. You may also visit www.cdc.gov for more information.
H1N1 VACCINE UPDATE
Fredericksburg City Public Schools will host a vaccination clinic for the H1N1
(Swine) Flue on Wednesday, November 4 at Lafayette Upper Elementary
School. Important Clinic Information:
- The clinic will begin at 5:30 P.M. and families should arrive at the school before 4:30 P.M.
- There is no cost for the H1N1 vaccine.
- The vaccine is being offered to all students enrolled in Fredericksburg City Public Schools and Head Start. This will include their siblings between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old.
- The vaccines are first come, first serve, until the supply is exhausted.
- Only the inactivated, injectable form of the vaccine will be administered.
- Students with fevers will not be vaccinated.
- Please bring a completed consent form with you if you have one. If you do not have one, they will be available at the clinic. The consent form and vaccine information are also available on the FCPS website: www.cityschools.com
Please keep in mind that the clinic is TENTATIVE. In the event there is no vaccine available from the Health Department, the clinic will be cancelled by the morning of November 4. Please watch for cancellations and rescheduled clinics on Channel 18, the school website, and on flyers that your child may bring home.
