The James Monroe Lady Jakctets had two tough games this past weekend and came up on the short end of the tournament. After a hard 66-42 loss vs. Eastern View, the Jackets needed to regroup in a hurry in order to become the 2nd seed in the region 1 tournament. Well, that regrouping never materialized as King George avenged an earlier loss too the Jackets by holing them off 59-57. The loss was more hurtful because it dropped the Jackets into a 3 way tie for regional seeding points. As it turned out, the Jackets dropped from 2nd to fourth. The great news is they get to host a quarterfinal game tomorrow night vs. Bruton. It will be a BIG night as we will honor our senior boys and girls and host a double header as the boys will take on Greensville at 7:45! I know the ladies will be ready to bounce back and play a great game. It should be a great atmosphere! GO LADY JACKETS!
