Everything was dressed in Pink last night and the outcome of the girls quaterfinal game with Spotsy came up Roses in the end. The weather layoff showed last night, but the Lady Jackets used a familiar face and a secret weapon to advacne to the semi-finals of the district tournament by defeating Spotsylvania 50-47 last night. Kirastin Cole led the ladies with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Brittini McFadden added 11 points, Akira Jones had 7 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. But it was the inspirational play of sophomore guard Rhonda Lincoln that stole the show. In the game mainly for defense, Lincoln sinked 3 out of 4 free-throws down the stretch to seal the win! Now the focus is on Eastern View, as the ladies hope the 3rd time is the charm against the Cyclones! Game time is Friday night at King George High School at 7:30. Thanks for all of the support with the Pink Zone Breast Cancer Awareness night! GO LADY JACKETS!
