UPDATE: Date Change for the SOL Writing Test!

Fredericksburg City Public Schools announces that the spring 2010 SOL (Standards of Learning) writing dates have been changed from March 1-3, 2010, to March 16-17, 2010. FCPS will administer the multiple choice component of the Writing SOL on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. The writing prompt (short paper) will be administered division-wide to all students in grades 5, and 8, and for the high school English end-of-course on March 17, 2010. Students absent on those days will be administered the tests on March 18-19, 2010.

National Honor Society Blood Drive

Attention all students and faculty: Be someone’s hero! Save up to three lives with only 20 minutes of your time. The National Honor Society will be holding a Red Cross blood drive in the gym at Jayem on Thursday, March 29th. Donors must be at least 16 years old and must have gotten no tattoos or piercings within the last 12 months. If you are willing to be a donor, contact any NHS member or Mrs. Linda Robinson in room 238 this month.
