Author: On Monday August 2, 2010, the City of Fredericksburg will launch a new citizen’s alert system called Fredericksburg Alert. The notification system will provide warnings to subscribers outlining various information ranging from closings and delays at Fredericksburg City Schools to emergency weather, traffic, and crime alerts plus much more. http://blogit.cityschools.com/fcpsalert will continue to be updated and provide an RSS feed, but will discontinue email and SMS service on October 1, 2010.
